While at a mobile industry press event in New York City tonight, I stumbled (literally) upon the new Samsung SGH-T809 for T-Mobile USA, a super thin and sleek slider handset with a drop dead gorgeous display. This is a phone that could grab the market's attention in just the way that Motorola's RAZR did.
The T809 is equipped with a megapixel digital camera and a fully loaded Bluetooth system. The 262k color display is really bright and nice to look at, too. There is even a TransFlash/microSD memory card slot on the side. But the thing that makes this phone so nice is the body itself. It is so thin, smooth operating, and just damn fine looking.
The unofficial word is that we can expect to see a formal announcement for this phone in November of this year. I'm very much looking forward to it.
