The Sagem myV-85 has been quietly.. very quietly.. announced as a Vodafone exclusive handset. But unlike many "myV" handsets, the myV-85 is quite interesting, because it appears to be Sagem's first 3G handset. (You can see the secondary camera in the closeup picture).

Details are sketchy to say the least, but the Sagem myV-85 does look cosmetically similar to the myX6-2 and is reported to come with a similar 176x220 pixel display in 262,000 colours, 1.3 megapixel camera and Bluetooth. Also, as it's the next phone up in the range from the Sagem myV7-6 (the Vodafone version of the myX6-2), we can also assume that it comes with expandable memory (probably TransFlash/microSD), an MP3 player and email client.
So, it appears to be a midrange 3G phone, somewhat similar in specification to the Sony Ericsson K600i but not as stylish (but probably cheaper). However, the odd thing is that there's no obvious Sagem phone that the myV-85 is based on, so it's likely that Vodafone have accidentally pre-empted Sagem by announcing their version first.
Certainly this has been a long time coming, and the lack of a 3G model has been an obvious gap in Sagem's range, but they have demonstrated that they can come up with some technically advanced models with the myX-8 and myS-7 Windows-based Smartphone, so it's quite possible that we'll see Sagem combine some of the elements in future handsets. The Sagem myX-9 perhaps? Watch this space!
